Our pick

How we review short drama apps

We read each app's official pages, terms, privacy policy and store listings, then score what we found. We never claim to have paid for or tested an app.

Where the facts come from

For every app we read its official website, its terms, its privacy policy and its listings on the US App Store and on Google Play. We do not rely on forums or third-party review sites. If the official pages do not say something, we say that they do not say it.

Prices

The prices you see on this site come from the official US store listings and are rechecked. We do not write prices into the text of our reviews, because they change, so the page shows the current figure instead. Store prices can differ by country and by offer.

What we score

Each app gets a score based on the same criteria: price fairness, free access, how easy cancelling is, refunds, transparency and the catalogue. A high price is not penalised by itself. A confusing price, or a weekly charge that renews without being clear about it, is.

What we do not claim

We make no claim of having bought, installed or watched anything, and we do not pose as customers when asking apps' support teams questions. Our reviews are readings of published documents, and we label them that way.

Order of the list and commissions

The order of our list is our editorial choice. Apps that pay us a commission when you click through and sign up can sit in that list, and a commission is never a reason for a higher score, though you should know it exists. Pages show the date they were last checked, and we update them when the official sources change.
